Physio is careful not to overstretch
Saunders Sports and Spinal director, Steve Saunders, is often asked why he hasn’t expanded his innovative private physiotherapy practice. Established in 1989, the clinic has become nationally and internationally recognised.
Steve is aware it can grow, but will do so when the time is right. The former Australian hurdler moved to SA from Sydney in 1987 and opened the clinic in the change rooms at the old Olympic sports field at Kensington. Now in Gilles Street, in a building Steve owns, the business employs six full-time staff. The practice treats patients of all ages including elite level and recreational athletes and people with non-athletic and workplace injuries.
Steve consults to many elite sport teams and organisations including the Australian Track and Field Team, five AFL football clubs, Cricket Australia, the SA Cricket Association, the UK Sports Institute, and the SA Sports Institute.
