Water sensitive urban design is a mantra for local governments in Australia, where innovation must go hand in hand with efficient use of space.
University of SA professor Simon Beecham is working at the forefront of this field, learning how to maximize water resources and integrate how we collect water in the urban design framework.
His work at the Centre for Water Management and Reuse taps leading engineering and climate thought to come up with the best mechanisms for harvesting water, storing it and developing reliable alternative sources for water.
