YourSA travels to Sydney
SA Great will host a mix of SA expatriates and
Sydney locals for a night of South Australian fashion,food and wine on 8 April at the Hilton Sydney.
This event targets South Australian expatriates living in Sydney, aiming to reconnect this demographic with all the news and happenings in their home state of South Australia.
The event will feature SA fashion icon, Liza Emanuele, who is a true reflection of the outstanding talent working successfully in the State.
While Liza’s products are internationally recognised,they remain proudly South Australian made. Expatriates at the YourSA event will be treated to an exclusive launch of her 2009 collection season plus her stunning new line, Emanuele Bride. SA Great CEO, Nikki Seymour-Smith, says in the bigger picture, SA Great will use YourSA
events to challenge perceptions, attract South Australians back home and rejuvenate the State’s workforce.
“This event has already received a huge response, proving South Australian expats are highly interested in what is going on in their hometown,” says Ms Seymour-Smith.
The YourSA event will also feature Hilton Adelaide’s Executive Chef, Simon Bryant, who will cook for guests using only South Australian food and wine.
Simon will also prepare South Australian produce at a media luncheon hosted by SA Great, which will take place prior to the YourSA event. This will provide local producers an opportunity to showcase their talent to interstate journalists from Gourmet Traveller, Vogue, Sydney Morning Herald, Delicious, Yahoo7 and NineMSN. Chester Osborn from McLaren Vale’s d’Arenberg winery will also be attending, giving interstate guests a taste of his premium South Australian wine.
