Cool thinking shapes Urban Oasis
“Urban Oasis adds water to clients’ outdoor living,” says Sarah Martin, Marketing and Finance Manager summarising her specialist construction firm’s mission.
Urban Oasis is managing to grow in economic and climatic drought conditions. The company provides design, construction and project management services for swimming pools, spas, water features, rain harvesting underground tanks and complementary landscaping services such as paving, coping, decking, lighting and outdoor furniture.
MD, Lorenzo Peressin, learned about construction at his father’s knee. He established his first construction business at 23 years of age and has worked on domestic and commercial construction projects throughout Australia.
“Lorenzo established Urban Oasis in 2006 with the objective of bringing families and friends together by providing beautiful outdoor living spaces enhanced with water,” Sarah says.
Growth has been rapid with Urban Oasis tripling annual revenue since 2006. By providing an extended range of services the firm has also been able to more than double average customer contract value since 2006.
In 2007 Lorenzo’s wife, Sarah Martin, left her role as head of Marketing at the Department of Trade and Economic Development to drive marketing, client service and finance at Urban Oasis.
