Leed builds on good fortune
Fast Mover Leed Engineering and Construction Pty Ltd undertakes civil engineering and infrastructure projects, particularly in the areas of water management, reclaimed water and sewer pipelines, road and bridge infrastructure, dam strengthening, microtunnelling and earthworks.
Leed turned over about $90million in 2007-08 (profit growth 76.4%) in project delivery modes include Alliance, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), Construct only and Design and Construct (D&C) forms of contract.
The firm employs more than 250 people, and owns and operates a significant fleet of construction plant.
“We are currently undertaking significant infrastructure projects in SA such as the early civil works for the Adelaide Desalination Plant, Glenelg to Adelaide Parklands Recycled Water Project, the Lower Lakes Irrigation Pipeline from Jervois to Currency Creek and the Gallipoli Underpass Project,” MD Mark Jones says.
Leed is well established in SA and “will continue to pursue opportunities here” Mark says.
“The SA business includes a regional office at Olympic Dam where we have been performing work for BHP Billiton over the past five years. Given the potential of the mine site we hope to be involved in future developments in the aWe have also undertaken numerous projects in Victoria with our regional office in Bendigo and are looking to grow and develop the business further in that State.
Mark acknowledges Leed was lucky to have formed at the beginning of a growth cycle taking place across all areas of infrastructure.
