Zonehigh aims to go global
After publishing her book, The Timeless World in 2006, business coach Michelle Stanton took the tools she had developed to the business community. She had been out of the corporate world for eight years due to illness; she wondered if her unconventional ideas would be accepted.
“I did not know whether people in business were ready for these leading edge concepts, which require a paradigm leap rather than merely a paradigm shift,” she says.
“Being new to Adelaide, I was also unsure what terminology would work for the business people here. Within six months, I realized that not only did people in business really need what I had to offer, they were ready for it!
“They responded to the idea of ‘Being in the Zone’ – the peak performance state that elite athletes refer to when they are winning - where the body is relaxed and the mind is relatively quiet.”
Business people experiencing enormous pressure and stress were delighted to discover they could achieve even greater success when they worked and lived in the Zone.
“I named my course Zone Training and rebranded my company as Zonehigh. As soon as I did this, the business took off,” Michelle says.
“When I started to teach the tools, I did so one-on-one over three coaching sessions of 1.5 hours each. This worked for a few people but most required more. So I expanded the course into an eightweek course of four personal coaching sessions and four workshops“The downside was after a few months, some dropped out of the Zone and forgot to keep using their tools. This is not surprising, as it takes a couple of years for a human being to adopt a habit.”
Michelle extended the Zone training course to a 12-month maintenance program. After eight weeks learning the tools, clients are supported for 10 more months, attend a monthly workshop and Breakfast in the Zone once a month. Clients can participate for a second
