Beware the snow leopard

Do you get annoyed, like I do, that anything that looks cool, works well and has even a hint of appeal is almost always the most expensive of its kind? That you know in essence you are paying extra because of design?
Well Apple has turned that idea, and the software game, on its head with its latest launches.
Upgrade to Apple’s Leopard (OS X 10.5) operating system, Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6), which was released recently and you’ll have to cough up a mere $39. I’ve found lint in odd places worth more than that.
A Windows 7 operating system upgrade will cost between $199 and $429, depending on the version. All the Bill Gates faithful will say: “ah yes, but it has been rebuilt from the ground up.” The reply is simple: after
the whack job of Vista, nothing short of a complete demolition job was required. And the quality of Windows 7 OS is still highly suspect.
Snow Leopard is pitched as just an upgrade to the existing Mac OS, not a complete makeov...
