Hospitality group invests in the future
Hospitality industry stalwart, the late Ian Conolly ran motels and hospitality venues for more than 25 years all over SA. Ian passed away last year but a thriving legacy is the Country Club Hotels & Resorts Group, which was founded in 2005 to act as the marketing umbrella for several high-profile South Australian properties.
Individually owned but marketed under the Country Club Hotels & Resorts group banner, the properties include McCracken Country Club, Clare Country Club, Adelaide Royal Coach, Chaff Mill Village Apartments, Franklin Central Apartments and John Pirie Motor Inn.
“(Joint marketing through the Group) allows these companies to receive greater exposure at trade shows, wedding expos, and advertising (and obtain) general purchasing power as a group rather than as stand-alone establishments,” says Country Club Hotels & Resorts CEO, Andrew Bullock. Andrew says the group is always looking to expand to include more SA properties of similar style.
Andrew provides advisory overview to the various entities in which he sees good tourism business potential which warrants reinvestment.
“We feel while tourism generally has seen difficult times of late there are still many opportunities in the industry,” he says. “We feel priorities for SA tourism include greater focus on our own backyard i.e. South Australians supporting and travelling within SA, and working hard to generate new markets, particularly internationally but also interstate...
