MGA masters diverse growth
Best known for its history in property management, MGA Whittles has successfully diversified in promising new ways to establish a firm group footprint. Moreover, it is cashed-up and in acquisition mode, seeking opportunities in Australia and overseas.
“A significant (recent) achievement has been the acquisition of a shareholding in the Portfolio Planners general insurance broking business, who now continue to concentrate on their life, superannuation and advice business,” says MGA Whittles MD, John George.
“This adds to our SA corporate general insurance book with six personnel coming on board.”
John says the final touches are being put on a strategic partnership with Bernie Lewis Mortgage Services to provide tailored general insurance products to their clients.
“Our farm, strata titles and landlords property protection products continue to grow,” John says. “The reason for this is the quality, pricing and - importantly - the delivery and personal servicing of these products by our representatives around the country.
“Our philosophy and goal is to provide personal service to clients, in all regions throughout the nation.
“While our operational model provides on-line, centralised resources and document processing the keystone of the model is to have MGA or Whittles personnel providing frontline personal service to
our clients.”
