SA Success in IT Scholarship Program
Adelaide Institute of TAFE (AIT) has launched a $1 million-plus scholarship program that will provide Australian students with a globally accredited software programming qualification.
The Premier's Carnegie Technology Scholarship will fund 100 students each year for the next three years to complete the Carnegie Technology Education (CTE) Certificate in Computer Programming and Certificate in Software Systems Development, provided by the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University in the US.
Students at the Currie Street Campus of AIT undertake the course online, using the Internet to access curriculum materials published from the Carnegie Mellon Campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
TAFE lecturers accredited to deliver the course will act as mentors for students undertaking the course as well as marking submitted assignments. All marks are validated by CTE to ensure they meet its strict criteria.
