Adam recruits new corporate look
Adelaide-based Internet Service Provider Adam Internet reports significant expansion during the past 12-18 months, strengthening its corporate structure and diversifying its product and service offering.
Despite the GFC Adam reported revenues close to $40 million for the 2008-09 financial year.
MD Scott Hicks expects annual revenues to grow to about $100 million in three to four years at a compound growth rate of 40% per annum.
To manage this growth Adam has restructured, recruiting an executive management team. Recent appointments include a GM of Sales, HR Manager, CFO, Chief Technology Officer, COO and a Marketing and Communications Manager.
“The company now employs more than 150 staff in Adelaide and remains strongly focused on the South Australian marketplace,” Scott says.
To accommodate increasing staff numbers, Adam acquired and refitted more office space in its King William Street building - four floors for the new call centre, executive management team, network operations and accounts and sales area.
Product and service diversification has been extensive. In 2009 Adam has launched mobile broadband service AdamAnyG, and was selected to roll out AdamMax – a WiMAX network that provides high-speed broadband Internet to homes in metro Adelaide’s blackspot areas.
“To target emerging growth areas, Adam Internet has increased its external sales focus in the small business, corporate and government markets to offer additional broadband, wireless, and bundled services to new and existing customers,” Scott says.
“A growing number of corporate and government users requiring ex-CBD co-location, disaster recovery and hosting facilities will be a major focus during the next few years, with the Adam Data Centre to be completed in the coming months.”
