Girl power in the Pureste sense
Pureste co-founder, Adrienne Peele’s entrepreneurial connections - her father brought Hungry Jacks to Australia – makes her a natural front woman for Australia’s newest feminine hygiene enterprise.
“The Pureste range was born the day a group of girlfriends realised after looking over a tampon leaflet that none of the current Australian products on the market were sterilized,” Adrienne says, “a very significant discovery considering most of these women had been using these tampons for the last 20 odd years – as many Australian women have.”
Brainstormed over Sunday coffee at Mamma Carmellas’ café in Unley, the Pureste venture achieved distribution remarkably quickly and is now focused on building profile.
“As with most of Australia’s feminine hygiene brands, Pureste is manufactured in Europe. These sterilised products were already being made in Hungary,” Adrienne says.
