Lynch Meyer’s surprise Panda-mania
Adelaide commercial law firm, Lynch Meyer has been working with the Adelaide Zoo to help get ready for Giant Pandas, Wang Wang and Funi, arriving next month.
In January, Lynch Meyer took out a Panda Keeper sponsorship to support the Zoo in its work to preserve the endangered species, continuing a long-standing relationship. The Zoo is a client, but Lynch Meyer also provides pro bono assistance. This year, Lynch Meyer CEO, Shane Daniell joined the Zoo’s Board.
The pandas added a new dimension to the sponsorship.
“The firm was looking for something different to offer its clients for a Christmas function,” Shane says. “What could be better than to invite them to the very first Christmas party with Adelaide Zoo’s exciting new guests, Wang Wang and Funi?”
Lynch Meyer negotiated rights to host the first
(and only) corporate Christmas party at the Panda enclosure, on the day after the Giant Pandas first go on show to the public.
“Certainly to offer clients such a unique experience would be fun and that alone would have made the sponsorship worthwhile,” Shane says. “However, what the team hadn’t factored in was just how much of an impact this sponsorship would have on the enthusiasm and engagement of staff.
“It created a real sense of delight. Everyone was happy to see the firm supporting such a good cause and most were keen to get behind it and do whatever they could to raise money.
