2010 Science Excellence Awards pool $125,000
Nominations for the prestigious South Australian Science Excellence Awards are open with SA Science and Information Economy Minister, Jack Snelling announcing eight awards with total prize money of $125,000 in 2010.
“The Science Excellence Awards showcase the best in South Australian science and science education, recognising both outstanding individuals and team contributions,” the Minister says.
“These awards acknowledge and celebrate the successes of our scientists. They highlight their worldclass work, as well as the contributions they make to science and research, locally, nationally and internationally.
“The State government recognises the importance of the science education sector to the State’s economy.
“We’re looking to find our future scientists through a new $5.7m advanced technology program aimed at attracting 1000 more senior secondary students to study maths and science over the next four years.
