CMV puts service at front of house
CMV Group’s new state-of-the-art Toyota dealership on West Terrace implements a dramatic change of approach. The four-storey CMI City dealership claims to be the first in South Australia to put its service department at the absolute forefront of the business.
“We’ve brought our technicians, and the work they perform, to ‘front of house’, where they should be,” says MD, Paul Crawford.
The service and maintenance area of 33 car bays offering the latest technology is surrounded by glass and fronts directly onto West Terrace, alongside the showroom.
“In a sense we are showcasing both our vehicles and our technical ability. There’s total transparency,” Paul says.
The 15,400 square metre dealership has merged two of CMI City’s service centres and includes a large new car showroom. It was seven years in the planning and 18 months under construction.
