Cruz helps City Holden shift gears
Innovation and sound business management over the past 12 months has geared City Holden for success in 2010.
Australia’s most awarded Holden Dealer rose above the economic challenge of the global financial crisis to consolidate its number two position Australia wide and maintain staff levels at 110 employees.
City Holden Dealer Principal Julian Newton said the release of new car models and technology helped to maintain customer interest in one of Australia’s favourite brands.
“The release of the Cruze saw unprecedented sales for a smaller Holden vehicle and within the first three weeks we had sold 28 vehicles,” Mr Newton said.
The Cruze was released in June and City Holden continues to oversell its allocation of vehicles, with the vehicle maintaining strong demand.
“City Holden traditionally sells larger sedans and station wagons but the Cruze proved to truly be a car of its time; small, economical and safe,” he said.
