EES next step in new venture
As a Director in the Private & Entrepreneurial Clients division of BDO, Steve Fimmano is in the thick of the financial community using his 14 years experience to provide tax, accounting and business advice to clients including SMEs, professionals, owners and managers.
His responsibility is accompanied by an expectation among his clients that he is always learning and always chasing the advantage over his competitors. That is why he took part in the recent New Venture Creation seminar, the first in the Executive Education Series jointly produced by the Australian Institute of Business Administration and in-business.
The seminar was held at the AIBA’s Flinders Street campus where Steve joined other executives and business owners-managers for the high energy, intellectually stimulating, practical one day session, designed to boost participant’s knowledge and challenge their thinking.
AIBA Director of Studies, Dr Anthony Lowe led the sessions and incorporated the experience of Martyn Manuel, the chief executive and owner of Fibrelogic Pipe Systems, as part of the day long seminar.
“Dr Lowe was a high quality speaker who brought real world experience to the table. The presentation style was informal and interactive,” Steve says.
“Participants were very much able to benefit from each other’s business experience.”
