Take training funding while offer lasts

If you did not meet your sales projections for 2009, do not despair. There is still time to meet these forecasts while you have months until the end of the financial year.
But to do so, you will need well qualified staff familiar with your products, administrative and sales methods.
To makes sure of this, your business may be eligible to receive up to $4000 per employee in Government funding for training programs, so it makes sense to contact certified trainers to explore options.
Certain qualifications are funded according to local priorities in each state of Australia.
Target Training especially recommends courses such as Certificate IV in Business, Certificate IV in Frontline Management and Certificate III in Retail.
South Australian businesses are very fortunate as many high quality and sought-after qualifications attract this funding, such as the above qualifications and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and the Diploma of Management.
Target Training helps businesses to qualify staff against each Australian state’s policies depending on which state staff live and work in.
The subsidies cover the cost of training and assessment in most cases so the opportunity may seem too good to be true! Typical questions I get from employers include:
“What does the training cover?”
This depends on the qualification and subjects you choose for your staff, however if we look at Certificate IV in Business as an example, with a customized focus on sales, your staff may cover units such as:
• Address customer needs
• Promote products and services
• Develop a sales plan
• Build client relationships and business networks
• Develop product knowledge
• Lead and manage a sales team
• Promote team effectiveness
If staff predominantly perform in finance roles, for example, then you choose subjects relating to that role.
