Flinders innovator makes a difference
It’s busy enough juggling a full-time job and parttime study, but add Army Reservist to the mix and your life is “full, challenging and rewarding”.
This is the experience of Adelaide-based Ben Flink who is a Captain in the Army Reserve.
“I’m a Senior Associate with Flinders Partners, the technology transfer office at Flinders University,” says Capt Flink, 33.
“We work with the university’s researchers to get their knowledge into commercially successful products and services. We’re the conduit between the university and the commercial world.”
Ben, the son of a career Army officer, grew up on bases all over the country. He joined the Army Reserve in 2002.
“I was determined to serve both the community and my country,” Captain Flink says.
