Marlene teams up for net growth
As an elite netballer, Marlene Elliott thrived on teamwork to achieve success.
It’s that same philosophy that she brings to her role as State Marketing Manager with KPMG in Adelaide.
“In netball, you don’t reach the top level unless you’re a team player,” Ms Elliott says. “The business arena is no different.
“Individual performances can achieve only so much but it’s when everyone works together towards a common goal that the end result is far greater and much more satisfying.”
KPMG employs 230 staff in Adelaide including 18 partners across the areas of audit, tax, advisory and accounting.
Marlene leads a team responsible for the firm’s marketing campaigns, business development, events, sponsorships and client care programs.
It’s a full calendar of activity that includes major events such as Sensational South Australia, Yalumba Day and Christmas at the Races.
Marlene joined KPMG in 2003 having worked for 12 years with Adelaide Bank where she held the position of National Manager of the Mortgage Origination business.
“A large part of my role at KPMG involves working closely with the Partners and staff to grow the firm in South Australia,” she says.
“This comes through strategic development, positioning, communication and most of all ensuring our clients’ expectations continue to be exceeded.
“This can’t be done in a silo but requires a strategic, committed and unified approach by everyone at KPMG.
