Alliance method works for Rachel
Allianz Insurance executive, Rachel Arnott started mentoring to use her skills and experience to foster upcoming leaders.
“By sharing my experiences, I hope my mentees are able to learn from them and gain a different perspective or insight on the challenges and problems all leaders face. This sharing of experience helps young leaders grow, personally and professionally.”
Rachel, who is Project Leader - Customer Services Operations in Allianz’s Adelaide office, considers mentoring a personal development activity.

“I take a lot of personal satisfaction from seeing my mentees develop and grow personally and professionally over the time I am involved in the mentoring arrangement. It’s also good to meet with other mentors when I have the opportunity to see how they tackle their relationships and continuously improve my mentoring skills this way.
“I particularly enjoy mentoring as part of the YBL program as I believe this is an opportunity for me to give back to the community via my involvement with such a worthwhile program.”
