IQMS speeds supplier compliance task
Defence industry stalwart, Peter Summers, now MD of IQMS Software, is on a mission to help suppliers deal with increasing demands for compliance with international management standards, occupational health and safety and environmental management norms.
The IQMS Software provides an easy to manage system and a daily business management platform using Microsoft programs most businesses already have.
IQMS Australasia launched its latest edition earlier this year, now in version 3.1, which follows on from previous versions distributed by consultants, predominantly in food management areas.
“The new software brings together multiple packages in modular form so they can be mixed and matched to the clients requirements,” Peter says.
“Firstly it is a management system structure designed to be used for daily requirements like standard operating procedures and forms along with the regular tasks like maintenance and corrective actions that are automatically emailed to the responsible person when due.
“This flattens the management structure of the system and promotes involvement of all the staff and builds their ownership of the system and quality outcomes, reducing the need for some positions like quality managers and other support staff.”
Customised packages are available across a wide range of industry sectors, from food to defence, cleaning services and medical laboratory management.
“The occupational health and safety package has a broad application to all business both in Australia and New Zealand and is written to conform to the Australian/ New Zealand standard AS/NZS 4801. Purpose built packages can be designed for special requirements,” Peter says.
