Jed shares charity work with SA elite
Young Business Leaders candidate, Jed Richards of Macquarie Private Wealth was introduced to the Royal Society for the Blind at one of RSB’s annual events.
“I think it was a golf day, but I followed up with several other events such as the Clipsal 500 Luncheon and another Melbourne Cup Luncheon,” Jed says.
“By participating in these events, you start to realise what work is being done by the RSB and just how important these services are to the visually impaired.
“I remember speaking to the RSB Executive Director, Andrew Daly at one of the events and this led to me considering the Young Business Leaders program.”
As a young stockbroker just starting out, Jed needed to extend his Adelaide networks to build up his client base.
“I decided to meet with some South Australian listed companies and offer their customers a discounted facility to buy and sell shares at attractive rates,” he says.
“The companies were keen to participate and offer their customers a good external independent service at an attractive cost.
