Talent Pool at Call
Most people realise that the University of Adelaide is a factory of ideas and has world-class researchers, but what is not so well known is that this talent pool is available to companies for building commercial advantage.
“Every example of localised fast economic growth in the western world was driven by the technology and know-how emanating from business oriented research institutions,” says Steve Winslade, who directs Adelaide Research and Innovation, the group tasked with timely project management of every project contracted out of the University.
ARI also works closely with state government agencies and business facilitation groups to generate business growth. For larger projects that are suitable for government funding ARI assists with the preparation of research projects for programmes such as BIF and R&D Start, and for ARC Linkage grants.
