Year to come 'busiest on record' for Commercial Property
Adelaide’s commercial property market will enter the 2002-2003 financial year in its best shape for more than a dozen years, according to Don Crouch, the Managing Director, South Australia for commercial property agents Knight Frank.
“I think the next 18 months to two years could be one of the busiest periods on record, with the only thing likely to slow it being a lack of stock,” Don says.
During the past 12 months, the market has benefited from positive influences including:
- Improved business confidence
- High consumer confidence
- Low interest rates
- Declining vacancy rates
- Emerging rental growth
- Potential capital growth.
“Many small to medium business proprietors are taking advantage of the present climate to acquire their own premises, while investors are aggressively targeting commercial properties with stable cash flows in place,” Don says.
