Joanna banks on success
Building teams and supporting communities have been recurring themes in Joanna White’s career.
She has worked across corporate, consulting and manufacturing environments, been the founding CEO of a successful start-up business and raised millions of dollars for hundreds of Australian charities.
As National Australia Bank’s recently appointed State General Manager nabbusiness SA&NT, Joanna is now responsible for lending, deposits and funds management to South Australian and Northern Territory businesses.
She is relishing her new role.
“After spending the past few years with NAB in a head office environment I accepted this position because I wanted to be in front of customers again,” Joanna said.
“Spending time with my team and our customers is important to me and I aim to spend at least two days a week in NAB Business Banking Centres across SA.
“I love the influence NAB is having with our breakup campaign and our focus on fairer banking. I am building on this at a local level by continuing the focus to ensure our bankers understand our customers and their businesses.
“A particular focus for me is South Australia’s small to medium enterprises (SMEs). SMEs are important drivers of South Australia’s economy and I believe banks could do more to support these businesses.”
