AREA Construction stays flexible
Fast mover, AREA Construction, a division of Scott Salisbury Group, turned over $22million in 2010-11 to achieve 61% pa growth averaged over the past three financial years.
AREA Construction manages the construction of all types of commercial projects. Current projects include retirement villages, heritage office renovations and extensions, interior office fit outs/ building upgrades, medium density housing for developers, and affordable housing.
“In previous years we’ve also constructed schools, office blocks, retail and industrial buildings, and apartments,” says chief executive, Chris Went.
“We use an operational model that enables us to advise and construct various types of projects for a variety of clients. This has allowed us to focus on the segments of the industry that are showing growth, and adapt when necessary to any changes in the marketplace.
“Combined with Scott Salisbury Group’s core ethos to provide quality service and products at the best value, means that we retain clients while continually attaining new clients.”
Chris says flexibility has helped AREA overcome market fluctuations.
“The economy has affected our marketplace to a degree, however we have maintained growth by staying flexible to client needs and by using an operational model that allows us to provide premium products and services for many sectors.
