Century party for Noble
n 1911, before World War I, a company was founded in South Australia by young George Adie Noble.
A century later, A. Noble & Son has an annual turnover of about $75 million and employs almost 300 individuals nationwide.
Still proudly SA-owned, Nobles is one of Australia’s oldest specialised makers and marketers of lifting equipment.
Chaired by Jeff Rogers, grandson of the founder, Nobles celebrated on 27 October at the National Wine Centre where more than 200 SA, national and international guests commemorated the 100-year achievement.
MD, Angelo Primavera believes the milestone marks a significant achievement in a tough economic climate.
“Nobles have seen a growth of 44% in the past five years as a result of the mining boom. Mining, along with the Oil and Gas industries together, represents more than 80% of our business today,” says Angelo.
