Adam elected conveyancers CEO
The Australian Institute of Conveyancers - SA Division appointed Geoffrey Adam as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr Adam is also appointed National Secretary of the Institute. The Australian Institute of Conveyancers is the professional body representing registered conveyancers across Australia.
Mr Adam is a property lawyer who has been in private legal practice for over twenty years. Announcing Mr Adam’s appointment, AIC State President Rod Hammond said the future would be particularly challenging for conveyancers with constant regulatory change and the introduction of electronic conveyancing.
The Australian Institute of Conveyancers elected a new State Council at its recent AGM. Rod Hammond, of Norman Waterhouse, has been elected President for a second term with Bev Brumby as Vice President.
New Deloitte directors appointed
Craig Hannam has been promoted to Director within the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Corporate Reorganisation Group.
Craig has extensive experience in the conduct of formal insolvency administrations and debt recovery matters, as well as advising on corporate and personal insolvency and credit management.
Harvey Jones has been promoted to Director within the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu assurance and advisory team. Harvey has eleven years experience in internal and external audit, privatisations, initial public offerings, management buy-outs, investment reviews and the sale and acquisition of businesses. His experience ranges across a broad range of industries including energy and resources, financial services, telecommunications, transport, retail and utilities.
Nicholas Stevens has been promoted to Director within the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu assurance and advisory division.
