CPA Australia turns it on for South Australia
Already renowned for staging excellent Congress events, the SA division of the CPA Australia is going all out to attract record numbers of financial and business professionals, including interstate visitors, to its 2002 showpiece, Leading The Way on 7–8 November.
The usual eclectic lineup of guest speakers this year will feature Triple J’s super scientist, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki as well as Australia’s most hard-hitting business journalist Terry McCrann and former national communicator of the year Robyn Moore, the voice of Blinky Bill.
“With a media career spanning 22 years and more than 19 books, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki attracts up to 300,000 listeners on his one-hour science talkback show on Triple J — with incoming calls reaching an amazing 7,000 in any 15-minute period!” says Congress organiser, Janet Bonython.
For more than 20 years Terry McCrann has been well known for hard-hitting commentary on business, the economy, rampaging entrepreneurs and politicians. He has provided critical analysis on these issues and a wide range of events and personalities that have shaped the nation.
Janet believes this year’s SA Congress will again live up to its reputation as one of the best CPA events in the nation and one of the State’s premier professional and personal development events.
“Congress is very important for our members and the division so we really pull out all the stops to make every post a winner,” Janet says. “By now we have a very good idea of what delegates need, want and like in the PD stakes and with the help of speaker assessments from around Australia, we do our best to deliver.”
The Congress, at the Adelaide Convention Centre, covers almost every professional and personal development topic and notwithstanding the prominent amusements, earns full registrants 15 CPD hours. Points of interest include:
