Philmac key management moves
World—leading manufacturer of valves and pipe fittings, South Australian company Philmac, has appointed Mr Chris Stathy as its new Managing Director.
Mr Stathy was Philmac’s Marketing and Sales Director, and with Philmac’s former Managing Director Mr Paul Haysman has played a major role in building the company’s strong export growth in recent years.
Chris’ appointment follows Paul Haysman’s purchase of Adelaide—based manufacturing and distribution business Hillmark Industries. Paul is leaving Philmac to manage Hillmark.
Other key management appointments further Philmac’s national and international expansion.
Mal Brown, formerly Philmac’s National Sales Manager, now is General Manager – Sales and Marketing, handling traditional Australian markets of rural irrigation, plumbing and hardware, as well as industrial markets serviced by Philmac’s growing Glywed Pipesystems Australia business.
Jason Mitchell, formerly Marketing Manager for Glynwed, is now Philmac’s National Marketing Manager, and is broadening his responsibilities to include the Philmac product portfolio and marketing activities.
Bruce Cussen’s responsibilities as Export Manager will expand to include not only Philmac’s growing North American market but also its substantial UK business. Former marketing manager, Steve Ellerman has relocated to North America as Market Development Manager for that region, reporting to Bruce.
Philmac Managing Director, Chris Stathy, said the appointments were exciting developments for Philmac, as the company drew on the extensive skills of experienced and well—respected managers in its ongoing expansion.
“As always, our focus remains on customer service and quality products,” he said. “These new appointments will help ensure we maintain and build on our reputation for excellence in both our local and export markets.”
