Foursticks named Deloitte South Australian Innovator of the Year
The 2002 Deloitte South Australian Innovator of The Year is David Bohn, CEO of Foursticks Pty Ltd. David received his award at the annual I-Ball celebration in November, which also saw the official launch of SAVI, the State’s coordinated innovation development forum (profiled in the last issue of in-business).
Stephen Harvey, Deloitte Corporate Finance Partner and one of the award judges, said the South Australian Innovator of the Year (which Deloitte has sponsored for two years) sought to recognise people who turn intellectual capital into wealth.
“Innovation is much more than creating new ideas and business concepts. What sets one idea apart from another is the people behind it. People with the dedication and commitment in taking ideas to commercial reality are what truly makes them successful,” Stephen says.
“With the increasing level of international competition, the importance of technology and innovation becomes more and more prevalent. South Australians continue to foster this concept and remain at the forefront of ingenuity. This year's winner, David Bohn, is an outstanding example.
