Halcro Tops CIBM Awards
A revolutionary amplifier that produces extraordinary levels of audio purity has won a small Adelaide company the inaugural South Australian Innovation Award.
Halcro amplifiers have been hailed the world’s best by international reviewers since their release 18 months ago, after reducing distortion by several hundred times.
At a cost of $50,000 to $70,000 a pair, nearly all Halcro production is exported to affluent music buffs around the world. Halcro is currently developing a less expensive version for the mass market.
The innovation prize was the highlight of the new CIBM Business Awards, which have been introduced by the SA Centre for Innovation, Business and Manufacturing as the State’s peak industry competition.
