AICD Christmas Lunch Raises $15,000 for Charity!
Fun and Festive Cheer was shared by 400 members and guests at this years AICD Christmas Long Luncheon. The theme for the day was “Christmas: The Annual Report”, and members and guests wintnessed the Extraordinarily General Meeting of SantaCom International (Australia) Limited. The world famous company that has been trading in one way or another for over 2000 not-very-finanacial years.
The board was chaired by Sir Nicholas Kris Kringle (aka Campbell McComas), who was joined by well known business and political leaders, Maggie Beer, Greg Connor, Robert Champion de Crespigny, The Hon Kevin Foley, Stephen Millar, Sandra McPhee and The Hon Amanda Vanstone. Members of the board (or bored depending on how you looked at it) entered into the spirit of the day each giving a fun and lighthearted presentation.
All the fun and festive cheer resulted in AICD presenting $15,000 worth of proceeds to charities, The Smith Family and Operation Flinders.
“Christmas is always a telling time for struggling families. It is when The Smith Family is most called upon and, in the tradition of the organisation’s five founders early last century, it is a time when community generosity comes to the rescue” says SA General Manager Operations’ Dr Norman Ashton.
