ECIC Meets the Commercialisation Challenge
Students from The University of Adelaide Education Centre for Innovation and Commercialisation (ECIC) swept the prize pool for the $80,000 E-Challenge Business Planning Competition in October. Four of the five finalist teams included students from the ECIC Graduate Diploma in Business Enterprise, surpassing the last year’s result, when three of the five teams in the inaugural E-Challenge had ECIC representation.
The Graduate Diploma in Business Enterprise focuses on entrepreneurship, new venture creation and management, providing students with a range of skills and tools to develop their own business venture, self-employment opportunity, or work within a small to medium enterprise or start-up venture. These skills were evident in the E-Challenge teams with Project Manager Elysia Ryan commenting on the quality of the entries and the level of innovation represented in the business ideas.
